Hungarian Publishers’ Association
The Hungarian Publishers’ Association (MLE) seeks to promote the success of it’s member enterprises in the fields of economy and business life, to strengthen the profitability of publishers, to explore, summarise and firmly represent their interests. Maintaining the high professional level of the publishing trade will further strengthen the position of the printed media on the Hungarian media market.
As the association for the protection of common interests of the Hungarian magazine and newspaper publishing trade, MLE negotiates, co-ordinates and represents the business interests of the fellow members towards the state- and government institutions, and non-government organisations as well as at various international forums and organisations.
MLE pays special attention to:
- protecting the freedom of the press
- maintaining the positive, revealing role of press in public life
- strengthening the prestige of the press
- supporting the quantitative and qualitative development of a self-regulated Hungarian advertising market.
The Association wishes to take active role in guiding the local media market on the path where the general practice is characterised as transparent in accordance with the European standards, and the attitude in business relationship is ethical, correct taking into consideration the mutual interest of the fellow members.
The conferences and the advertising campaigns organised by the Association all contribute to the professional development of the member enterprises and hopefully would further increase their prestige and acknowledgement.
